Synopsis
January 25, 2011.
The fall of Ben Ali in Tunis on January 14, 2011, built beacons of hope in the Arab world. All the attention is in Egypt, where groups in solidarity with the young Alexandrian Khaled Said, killed by the police, are calling for Egyptians to take to the streets against the regime. The chosen date is January 25, National Police Day, seen as one of the pillars of a regime sustained for decades in the country and ruled by Mohammed Hosny Mubarak as a Western ally. But people, claiming freedom and social justice, breaks the barrier of fear, goes outside and begins a rebellion that will shake the whole world.

Erhal is the result of the inside shooting from the 18-day struggle of the Egyptian people to bring down the dictator Hosni Mubarak, president of the country since 1981. From January 25, 2011 to February 11 the Egyptian people gave a lesson in courage and determination, breaking the walls of fear, to achieve a goal unthinkable a few months ago. A revolt that has inspired the entire world and has questioned the End of History predicted by liberalism.
Its director, Marc Almodóvar is a documentary producer, journalist and coordinator of egiptebarricada.blogspot.com blog and a regular contributor to the weekly La Directa. For 2 years He was following the political and social movements of protest in the land of the pharaohs, especially linked to the mobilization of workers and against political repression. Author of the short documentary "Women who are worth 100 men" on the central role of women in the labor mobilizations in Egypt and "BCN Thematic Park" on the effects of mass tourism in Barcelona, among other audiovisual works issued by TVC and TVE.
